Here is a Man's hammer textured wedding band we designed for a client in Texas. For rings like this we apply the texture within the model and then refine it by hand. This allows for the finish surface to have a much cleaner and uniform appearance all while retaining that hand made look.
The engraved text is also done while modeling for the same reasons. Having it cast within the ring keeps the sharp corners compared to having it engraved by hand or machine.
For the ring itself it's a 9mm wide, US size 19 band with a sentimental quote within the inside. The main focus of the design was the hammer finish and trying to recreate the exact style the customer was trying to achieve.
