Here is a heart bezel pendant we designed for a client in Texas. The pendant’s shape and bezel was modeled around a large silver heart their customer had. I’ve included a picture we were sent of the ring or bracelet (hard to tell) the heart was being removed from. This layout of the pendant was sketched off by our client and their customer. We were tasked with finding the corrected measurements and dimensions for the new pendant to balance the solid heart being set. The new new design turned out looking great. The large beaded outline looked overpowering in the computer, but in person balances out nicely. It also resembles the large bead work from the customer’s original item. Overall the pendant came out measuring 43mm tall x 42mm wide; including the jump ring. Each bead measures 3mm wide. You might notice in the 3d model that the bezel was made slightly taller than the heart insert. This was done because the physical heart was not completely flat. The top and bottom surfaces had dips and one side was slightly higher than the other. The taller bezel allowed us to shape the model after printing. Didn’t get an image of the casting on the tree, but the pendant was cast in 14k white gold. The images shown here are right after clipping the sprues off. You’ll still notice the porous surface from the investment and some layer lines from the print. What isn’t present is porosity or pit holes. Always want to show how our casting turns out before sanding and tumbling; let’s customers and clients know the quality of our products.
