Recreated Diamond and Sapphire Ring Casting
Here is the casting for a sapphire and diamond eternity band we helped a client recreate for their customer. The customer’s original ring had become pretty worn down after years of wear, and stones started falling out because the metal had become too thin.
They already had the stones replaced and the prongs re-tipped several times, but eventually, the ring reached the point where it was actually more cost effective to custom make an entirely new ring rather than continue paying for all the bench labor needed to repair the existing piece.
We were able to match the original ring exactly, while also making the band and prongs more substantial. The new ring should now last them a lifetime compared to the thinner, mass produced original.
For this order, we handled the modeling, printing, and casting. Our client’s jeweler will be setting the stones, as they were still waiting for the new stones to arrive. We always like showing off each order at the various stages of production. It gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how pieces should correctly come out and, hopefully, provides some useful comparisons if or when you’re out there looking at jewelry.
So, if you’re looking to have something custom made or have any questions, contact us today. We’re always happy to help!
