Here is a matching band and a new head we designed for a client in Georgia. Their customer wanted to update their wedding set by adding a second wedding band and upgrading the center stone to a larger diamond.
For the band, we were able to match their original design pretty closely. The first band was rolled out and done by hand, giving it a more free-form look compared to a printed model. For ours, we left extra material along the outside so their jewelers could shape it closer to the original after setting the stones.
For the center stone, the customer wanted to keep their original ring intact and wasn’t looking to completely remake everything. But did want a larger center diamond. So, the head and prongs were removed, and we laid out a new head that aligns with the old posts but is large enough to set the new 2ct princess-cut diamond.
