Custom Made Diamond Engagement Ring Redesigned

Here is a diamond engagement ring we redesigned for a client's customer. Their original ring is on the right and is pretty much just your standard mounting one can get from all the mass produced places. 

The customer really liked the look and shape of the ring, but rings like this are made so paper thin that this customer eventually ran into the problems that every ring like this will have. The ring starts losing it’s shape and the diamonds start falling out all because the thinnest amount of metal was used.

For places like this, it’s all about quick looks and never about longevity or function. The funny thing is, these rings actually aren’t priced any cheaper like you think they would be. You can tell how much thicker the prongs and mounting are on the new ring we made, all while still being the same proportions.

Currently it does appear chunkier, but that’s just because all the prongs are straight up. Once the diamonds are set, the prongs pushed over, and then shaped, the ring will have that desired elegant look.
