Here is a 14k yellow gold diamond and pearl necklace we custom made for a customer down in Florida. The pendant was designed around a rough sketch the customer had along with several sample images that they wanted to pull inspiration from. The pendant itself went through several iterations during modeling to help them narrow down their vision.
In the end the final design shown here was less complex than their original idea, but it always goes back to the old saying, less is more. This style of pendant is timeless and can be worn at any occasion. The goal with a design like this is to enhance the pearl, not overpower it.
For the pendant itself 1- AA 7.5mm near round freshwater pearl is sent at the center and 10 1.3mm round brilliant cut round diamonds are set as accenting stones around the pearl. The diamonds were also set on the smooth part of the twist to help visually enhance the rope pattern. Because the diamonds and rope design capture and reflect light differently these two contrast each other perfectly causing the whole pendant to pop and stand out.
