Custom 14k White Gold Diamond and Sapphire Cartier Glasses

Here is a pair of 14k white gold diamond and sapphire Cartier glasses we custom-made for a client. The pair of glasses were the customer's and are authentic from Cartier, though an older style. They came to one of our clients wanting to have the bridge and hinges set with 3mm diamonds and sapphires and the new parts made into 14k white gold.

In order to get the stones to fit each little part had to be remake correctly to the exact same size and shape as the original Cartier parts. including a new bridge, nose supports, hinges, screws, caps, and washers. The only parts used from the original set were the temple bars and the nose pads. Everything else was remade in 14k white gold.

The most difficult part of the process was getting the nose supports modeled to match the customer’s original design exactly. These are shaped to fit their nose, and if they are even slightly off, the glasses could feel uncomfortable to wear.

The glasses have already been delivered as of the time of posting this page and we can say that the customer was extremely happy with the results. In fact they had gone someone else to have it done once before but apparently the end product was so poorly made the customer had the original glasses put back together and held off having them remade for some time.
