Here is a rubber mold and casting we did for a client. Our client's customer wanted to make a duplicate of a bulldozer piece they had but in 14k yellow gold instead plated. Here in the video the original piece is laying on top of the open rubber mold and the casting is setting on the surface of our turntable. The casting is still attached to the sprues or tree and is straight out of the flask. We cast using the customer’s metal so our client will clip and finish the piece. You can see from the non shrink rubber material we use the size and detail was preserved. The two pieces side by side are pretty much identical.
