3d Printed Dragonfly Diamond and Multi Colored Gemstone Brooch

Here is one of the dragonfly brooches we designed and printed last year for a customer in California. Ended up making about 7 different dragonfly / bug designs all within the same style. We posted images of a few awhile ago but came across one of the test prints and thought I’d get a clip of it. This brooch measures 120mm wide x 75mm tall x about 3.5mm, thick not including the center bezel. If I recall correctly the pieces were going to be cast in 10k yellow gold by a casting house in Italy and then finished by a studio in Hong Kong. The dragonfly was to be set with diamonds and various colored gemstones. The center bezel was going to be set with a special cut opal and all the negative spaces within the wings and tail were to be filled in with resin or a translucent colored material.
