Here is another diamond ring guard we custom-made for a client over in Texas. For this order, we finished the guard for them since their jewelers have been swamped with repairs. The customer didn’t mind sending out their diamonds, metal, and class ring for us to have on hand to complete the design.
When custom-making any shadow band, enhancer, or ring guard, it’s always best for us to have the original ring on hand so we can check the fitting and make adjustments as needed. Some customers don’t like being without their pieces for an extended period of time, which is understandable. However, it does mean that turnaround times can take longer if we’re sending out various prints to check the fitting against the original ring.
For the band, as mentioned, the diamonds set were the customer’s, but it was also cast using their metal. This is something we offer that not many other places do, and it's a great way to repurpose old pieces and save money. In total, 36 - 1.5mm round diamonds were set within the band, with 18 stones on each side.
This order was already delivered before making this post, so we can happily say that the customer was thrilled with how the bands turned out and loved how well it pairs with their class ring.
