Here is a 14k yellow gold casting tree we did for a client using their customer's scrap metal. This metal wasn't the best, but we were able to make it work to help the customer save money. For scale one of these crest is a little smaller than a US nickle. You might notice on one side of the button (base of the piece) that is has an area that looks a bit rough; this is just where some of the metal splash outward in the flask while being sucked in. It's just flashing that got bent back while taking cleaning off the investment.
