Here is the model, renderings, and finished piece of a high-fashion, faux antique style ring we helped one of our clients in Georgia design for their customer.
This particular design took quite a while to finalize as it went through numerous revisions. From the overall shape and layout of the stones, to even at first building the design around a bezel-set center; every detail was carefully refined throughout the process. By working one on one with our client, the customer's vision was gradually narrowed down into the final ring you see here.
We did capture video of the printing and casting, but unfortunately those files appear to have been corrupted. If we can recover them, we'll share them in a follow-up post. In the meantime, the renderings and finished photos do a great job of showing how the ring came together.
Like most of our projects, we were asks in to assist with the initial design, create the CAD model, 3D print it, and cast the ring using their metal. Our client’s jewelers then set the stones and finished the ring.
As you can tell, they did a fantastic job. The customer was thrilled with the final result, and in person it's an absolutely stunning piece. It's definitely a ring that will turn heads and be a conversation starter.
