14k White Gold Casting
14k White Gold Casting
Clients are always impressed by how clean our castings come out especially when using their customer's metal like we have here. These two pieces were cast from two 3d prints we designed for a customer. Not 100% perfect but we've perfected our process to get it about 95-98%% identical to casting with new grain. For those who don't know different karats of gold are mixed with different metals to give you the specific karat (ie. 10k, 14k, 18k, etc). This helps bring the price of pure gold down while making gold more durable. Pure gold is very soft. As these mixtures of gold and metals are melted down and cast some of the additive metals are lost or begin to physically change under heat. This leads to porosity or pits in the final product. We've developed a process that allows us to cast using your scrap or your customer's metal that in the long run saves you and your customer money. This process is not flawless though, if the scrap metal is to far gone then nothing can be done, but to add new grain to the casting or remix the karat of metal. This is a whole different process. We inspect all pieces before use and can let you know roughly how the cast will come out. If you are looking to have something custom made or have resin / wax items you'd like cast feel free to contact us today.
